Chenna Masala


Channa Masala
A very popular punjabi dish made of chickpeas to be had with chapathi
Ingredients
1 cup Chickpeas or chana soaked over night and pressure cooked
2 nos Onions
1 no Tomato
2 nos Green chilli
2 inch Ginger (crushed)
3 clove Garlic (crushed)
½ tsp Mustard
½ tsp Cumin seeds
2 tsp Red chilli powder
2 tsp Corrainder powder
¼ tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Channa or chole masala powder(store bought) optional
Corrainder leaves (chopped)
4 tsp Oil
1 cup Water (or retain juice from cooked channa)

Preparation
1. Fry the curry leaves, onions, tomatoes well and mash it.
2. Add the cooked Chick peas to it with ginger garlic paste and fry it.

3.Add all the other ingredients liek chilli powder, coriander powder, masalas.
4. Add Required amount of salt
5. Serve hot with chapathis
